Scores

 For High School Athletes  participating in the California Youth Shooting Sports Association  (CYSSA) Trap Shooting Program, we compete in the Senior Division (grades  9-12) in either the Junior Varsity Category (1st year shooting in the  Senior Division) or Varsity (2nd, 3rd, or 4th year in the Senior  Division).
 

Individual:  Athletes compete against other High Schools and  Clubs in their category at the CYSSA Tournaments (Series Shoots).   Awards are presented to the top three scores out of 100 targets in each  category at each tournament site.
 

Squads:  The  State Championship incorporates squad scoring along with the individual  scores.  Five athletes make up the squad and winners are determined by  the combined score of each of the five athletes on the squad.  Athletes  shoot 200 targets at the State competition.
 

Team:  During the series shoots, the top five scores in  each category are used to calculate first, second, and third place of  the multi-site tournament.  The team with the highest point total wins  the High 5 trophy at the end of the season in their Division.  Granite Bay competes in Division 1.  The State Championship also incorporates the High 5 award.
